Fire is Nocturnal Sunshine's passion and first and primary medium. We excel in performing with a wide range of fire tools, including a number of self-designed and innovative tools. Each of our shows include multiple tool choices and you are more than welcome to request your favorites. We make most of our own tools and are always thinking of new ways to interact with fire dramatically and safely in performance.
Our performances are diverse and moldable, offering a wide selection of performances options which include: fire eaters, finger torches, palm torches, fans, poi, staff, double staff, swords, hula hoop, arm torches, umbrella, wings, sun wheel and more. Such diversity of tool and performer options allows us to provide a truly brilliant spectacle. In particular, we can dance Brazilian samba with several girls in fire backpacks instead of feathers. Performed with recorded music or live percussionists, this act is not to be missed and one you will not find in any other fire troupe.
Nocturnal Sunshine's performances usually include at least two performers and one safety tech and can easily be scaled to include six or more performers. Small shows run from 12-16 minutes and include the use of 3-4 different fire tools. Larger shows can run over 30 minutes and include the use of six or more different fire tools in choreographed pieces. We will gladly custom tailor a performance to meet your particular needs.
We primarily perform to premixed, recorded music but can also provide live musicians or dance to a DJ or band. If you do not have a sound system at your event, we can provide one for an additional rental fee. Please contact us to learn more about our dynamic fire shows.
